I just heard him do it ...

The good news is you'll calm down now ..
and after this lobotomy, well, there is no more thing called 'bad news.'

I'm numb. All you guys standing there, you all look alike. Who are you?

Aw, c'mon guys. If for no other reason, you gotta back the guy over Hilly or Barry for the sake of the next three Supreme Court justices. Do you really want three more Ruth Bader Ginsburgs on the bench? I didn't think so. Let's just hope he doesn't pick Huckabee as a running mate. DD

You know, when people are going for the nomination, they go center, only to tense back up into zealotry into the left or right side. McCain, for whatever happened in the past, will be Conservative in rhetoric. It's the way it works. He'll bend to match what we want, and that's how he'll remain.

Everyone forgets Mitt Romney was probably more moderate than John McCain in Massachusetts, had a liberal record on a handful of things. I here all the pundits say, well 'if he flip flops, atleast it ends on what we want'. Which is probably more dangerous than a McCain.

We'll hear from McCain, that he'll put up only Conservative and strict Constructionist judges up on the benches, we'll hear him back off his Amnesty deal, he'll be what we want him to be, like every other candidate after Reagan.

Or maybe EVEN Reagan, considering his early California doings were somewhat liberal, too. Imagine if we'd kicked his ass to the curb.

I'd like to see Thompson as the running mate. But it wont happen. They'll need someone younger. So you look to Huckabee, who it wont be, because McCain will most likely carry the south over Clinton anyway. Mitt Romney will wait for 2012 or 2016 and go at it again. Watch it be a Dick Cheney deal, where the VP comes out of nowhere.

Rumor has it that it'll be Gov. Tim Pawlenty from MN

By the way, it's 2pm central, & the MSM just announced that Romney just dropped out of the race ;-((

I'm watching CPAC. Can you say, McCain/Coburn?

Coburns a cool dude.

School me here if I'm wrong, but when in history has any presidential candidate chosen a former opponent to be his VP? No. They pick someone who will hang in the wings and not attract attention from themselves.

We did manage to get back home in time for CA primary voting (Romney), but STINK or not, I will cast a vote for McCain before I sit home pouting or in any other way enhance the chances of those filthy hillbilly Cuntins getting back in our White House. That's a promise.

Kennedy picked Johnson in 1960.

Well on the bright side, next week in the VA primary I can cast my vote for Fred without feeling guilty.

Yeah that's me - just a ray of sunshine always looking for the damn bright side.

PS Juice - I like that nickname - heh.

Rodger, Thanks. So, once in history,eh?

TFV, Thanks. That's my AKA Drunken Sailor that creates those names. The nice Juice is far more genteel. ;-}

I'm with Juice on this. As much as I detest that F***ing, McCain, I'll have to vote for him. Staying home isn't much of an option. That shit only insures that The Hildebeast gets elected.

We continue our slow descent into darkness. I'm stocking up on ammo and beer this year.

cmblake6 said...

Yep, the beer and ammo concept does sound sensible. Shit. And, YEAH! I now CAN vote for FRED! in the primary! Do you honestly think it might send a message?

Kennedy needed Johnson for the southern vote.

McCain is going to need coins, lots of them. He'll have to go to the base. It's up to the base to obtain promises. Once elected, it'll be up to the base and conservative lawmakers to hold him to them.

I've heard the name Jindal batted around for VP. Lately elected governor of Louisianna. Younger I think than even Obama, but this guy's a comer.

Hildebeast is in real trouble. I hope her and hubby go to the mattresses for this fight (sorry for that image, was doing the Godfather scene before read what wrote).

Actually Alear brings up a good point about Shrillary. She does seem to be in trouble and I think she would be much easier to beat than Obamarama.

I've been giving some thought to strategically voting for her next week in VA. Our state doesn't require party registration - in 2004 I voted for Howie Dean for the same reason.

Tough choice- what do you folks think?

I think you do not play with evil. The greatest thing that could happen to our nation is for the Clintons to be pulled out by the roots. We're close, so FGS let's finish them off.

Juice, Reagan picked Bush in 1980, they were bitter rivals in the primaries ("I paid for this microphone" and "Voodoo Economics").

My guess for VP? Pawlenty.

Anonymous said...

TFV, I've seen your comments on this site often. You seem sensible.

Tough Choice? Your only tough choice after voting Clinton will be which form of suicide to choose. Don't do it, it's a taint that will scar forever.

Anonymous said...

Think about it- no matter who I vote for on the republican side - McCain has the nomination tied up. Even Huckafuck can't catch him now.

Casting a vote for Fred while being orgasmic in nature -- won't make any difference either.

Obamarama could easily beat McCain I think. He is generating just enough energy and excitement among people who don't normally get involved that the majority who know there is no substance there will be outnumbered.

Clinton is our hope for a Republican victory - she is polarizing enough that people will come out to vote AGAINST her. People who would normally yawn and stay home.

Would it help if I wore latex gloves while voting?

Josh, I don't doubt that McCain will say anything to get elected... it's what he'll actually DO when in office that I worry about. In that regard, I don't believe he'll be better that GWB, which is to say, horrible. Better than Clinton? Yeah. Obama? Certainly. But if, as a country, we're destined to experience another episode similar to the Carter era, I'd strongly prefer that the Democrats get the "credit" for it.

All the inattention to immigration, the wholesale destruction of American business thanks to NAFTA and offshoring and the tax structure, and the movement of the tax burden almost completely off the lowest 50% and onto the upper 50% is coming home to roost.

It's getting crowded and hot in this little handbasket. Where are we going, again?

Darin and Rodger,
That's two now. Thanks. Some talk radio guy asked how many VP's do people remember, as if to say they're inconsequential. I started with Eisenhower and moved right along without a miss. 'Cannot claim the same knowledge of Pres wins selecting a competitor for VP. So, thanks again.

Currently the Democrats are outraising the Republicans at say a 7:4 ratio.

Many folk will vote according to what commercial they last saw. That's 7:4 to the evil party.

We do want them to spend their money to attack each other, eat their young.

Vote to keep the Democrats in battle until July. This is not a bad plan. Everyone use their given talent to make this happen.

Yikes Rodger! I hope all that pink in the banner wasn't directed at me! I wouldn't vote for Hilary because I want her to be president.

I'm just thinking of all the angles even though it does break my heart a little to not vote for Fred at least once.

McCain was my second to bottom choice for the nomination - the bottom is still there. But even McCain would be better than Shrillary and so in November I will vote for him

Alear,
When I saw that Hilary had to loan her campaign 5 mil this morning I did toy with the idea of sending her money- briefly.

Then I woke up.

Gah can you imagine all the lists I would be on then?? Sheesh!

I am going to vote for Billery.

She will play this country like a harp from hell.

In 4 or 8 year the GOP will get its head out of its ass and run someone like Bolton.

I am not going to give up my vote to McShamnisty because he is "our" candidate and we have to support him. That kind of extortion is how we got into this jam in the first place.

Vote for Billery and watch the fun start.

Rodger the Real King of France said...

I cannot help equating a vote for Hillary as anything more than a vote for Hillary. Gah!
