Joyce's Son

Need some help here Boss

Rodger,

Please light a candle for our son, Ian.  Please, if you find an appropriate spot, ask the Barn Army to do so also, and pray for him.  After last Monday's accident and surgery for internal bleeding, went well and they sent him home on Saturday.  He was doing pretty good.  Last night he fell unconscious for about a minute.  His wonderful girlfriend, Jenny,  called 911.  Back to hospital, CAT scan, bleeding spleen.  MoSup is a nurse?  I called my surgical nurse friend in FL for advice, maybe your wife has info to share?
God Bless and all at C&S,

Joyce

This is the original e-mail I received, but it appeared all was well then.  Shows what I know.

Hey, Rodger~~

Sunday AM hours the phone rang for your, Huck.  Our good Lord had watched over him, a blessing we in the Barn Army are gratefully aware of.

Monday commuter hours rang for our son, Ian.  Someone decided to sweep across four lanes of traffic and caused our son to be thrown from his motorcycle on his way to work.  Living two hours from SF we drove here, breaths held the for worst case scenarios of the abdominal, internal injuries we were informed of.  Thank God, his spleen was extremely minor, and his large intestine had some bleeding they repaired without having to remove anything. After many, many hours at SF General, medical staff were able to manage his pain level following surgery, and the sun is shining this morning.  Praise Jesus, Amen!  He was wearing a great helmet and body armor jacket, so good looking out helped in this case.  All prayers accepted on his behalf, believe me on this one!  Thanks so very much.

The weird part of this story is that last Monday we bought a travel trailer so Mr. Juice and I could begin to enjoy his retirement.  He wanted a maiden voyage sooner than later, but I stated we couldn't leave until after CA Primary voting, today, Super Tuesday.  Here we are, two hours (good traffic) from our polls and hospital bound.  Who'd a thunk because I don't trust absentee voting, we won't be voting at all.... after this whole shebang demented campaign stressing ordeal?  Cast two extra conservative votes for us out there Mary-Land way, right?  On the good news front, Audrey landed back on US soil sometime in the wee hours today.  Safe and sound.  So, much to thankful for.  Perhaps a Thanksgivings in February is in order for all us who've been blessed and spared of worse case scenarios.  :)

Take care and God Bless,
Joyce

I'm getting my candle ready now Juice.

Juice - My wife will add Ian to her church's prayer list (Southern Baptist, but it certainly can't hurt!). Our thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family.

Joyce,
Ian will be added to St. James prayer list today. Ms. D and I will also add him to our private prayers.

In the mean time, May our gracious Lord hold y'all close to his heart and cover your family with his strong and loving hands.

Prayers for your son. Good on him for wearing his protective gear. As a long time motorcycle rider and ER nurse, good gear saves lives.

Sorry to hear about your son's crash. Glad he wears good gear. No accounting for people that are allowed to drive.

Prayers all around. Your attitude is one that the rest of us could learn from!

God hold you and yours in his hands during this hard time.
