Not the best ending, but ...

The Super Bowl

If you're inclined to look at everything through its political component, and I am so inclined, then this was my  Super Bowl pick yesterday.
From a strictly sporting POV, I wanted the Patriots to win, because I want anything associated with NYC to lose every time, all the time.  Still, it was, I think, the best Super Bowl ever to watch.  Also, the Redskins kicked the Giant's ass, so as far as I'm concerned, we're the Champs!

Yeah, I was hoping for New England too. I'm a Lions fan myself (it took a lot of therapy before I could admit that in public), but a 19-0 season doesn't happen that often.

Still, how cool is the next Manning get together going to be. Mom and dad Manning have got to be the proudest parents today. Both kids have Super Bowl rings in back to back seasons. Way cool.
