Silk Purse

Ann Coulter - Pure Silk

Let's imagine the worst;  John McCain wraps up the Republican nomination.

If you're like me, even the thought has you curled in the fetal position under the he linen closet towels.  Right?  That's no way to live.  Desperate for the karmic equipoise I know is out there in that event, I went into a Bourbon-Prozac-Ritalin trance, and voila!  BTW, I  know that BPR trance-induced solutions can be flawed, like making a bidet with a Karcher power washer, so I slept on this overnight, and it's good to go.

The silk purse out of a sows ear solution is a conservative third-party  candidate.

Hold on before you pass judgment.

The third party candidate will not win the presidency, but will do better than Ross Perot, and will have a salubrious overall effect  Consider.

McCain with no third party conservative contesting
McCain  with  a third party conservative candidate running against him
Utter despair.

Even if he wins, the Republican party loses.  Not only is the Executive a liberal , which would be the case in any event, the lethargy produced by this ticket will result in wholesale congressional losses, with conservatives particularly vulnerable.  And, Republicans learn this message - be a RINO and win.
With someone like a Fred Thompson, except one who's energetic, sharp as a tack, and goes 100% down the conservative line, it's a different story.

Conservatives will come out in droves to poke the Republican establishment, and media MFCS in the eyes, and conservative congressional candidates will win.  We will have sent a message to the stupid party that running a RINO leads to disaster.

PLUS!

We remain energized.  USA-UAS-USA!

What's Haley Barbour's phone number.  Or George Allen, Jr's?

Too simple. I'm voting for FRED! if McSpain is the candidate. Romney we can deal with. Really, HE actually did stuff to soften the Taxachusets gun laws! And he was indeed a successful businessman. We need this. But if it's McVain, I'm writing in FRED! as I already said. Wouldn't that be incredible? First POTUS ever elected by write in protest vote?

I concur with your assessment.

A McCain Presidency would be more disastrous than a HRC one, because the Republican Party would continue to unravel into nothingness.

A HRC victory would, after a few mass suicides (e.g. Jim Jones), galvanize conservatives.

The Republican Party has left us conservatives and doesn't deserve our support or votes.

The consequences of our betrayal by the party (think: Tom Delay and Dennis Hastert) and by McCain (think about everything he has done since 2000) will be evident in November.

I voted for Ron Paul this morning, only because Fred has withdrawn, and, more importantly, I am off the Republican reservation.

Screw it. If it's Mcsh*thead I'm going to vote for Hillary unless a magical 3rd party conservative pops up.

Are You Nucking Futs?

So you WANT another repeat of Bush I's defeat due to the protest Perot vote, allowing that MFCS Clinton to get in?

You WANT them to have another hack at the Supremes?

Come on folks, Juan McVain is the worst of the entire pack of Rs. But he's WAY in front of ALL the Ds.

Let's forgo the hyperbole and
focus here on the damage and danger represented by the Evil party.

Y'all must keep in mind that in the next term, there will be probably two and up to six Supreme Court nominations at stake. Wanna see how fast Herfilthiness can get Ginsburg cloned?

No Deal. I'm voting Republican no matter what.

While everyone is holding their balls in a death-grip while thinking about a Hillary presidency, has anyone ever questioned whether McCain's appointees would be much better? He is *no friend* of the constitution or strict constructionism. We'd certainly get more Souters and Ginsbergs out of a McCain presidency, and what does that gain us?

McCain voted for both Roberts and Alito. Ignore that kerfuffle about MaCain saying Alito was too conservative.
The whole Gang of 14 gig was way blown out of proportion. It's been argued by better than I that it had a positive result for conservatives.
Meanwhile, I know who that Pig in a Pants Suit has on deck. This cannot be allowed.

Ann's legs are prettier than that.

Is that waist gunner Kim DuToit? If so, he'll shoot up all yer ammo and start chunking brass at the targets.

If Hillary is the nominee, I suspect that McCain would get grudging support across the board to defeat her. If Obama, he gets the mushy middle, and the White House, IMO. That does not diminish the fact that McCain is an evil political presence. And don't discount a "Swift-boating" campaign either. Those stories have always been just under the surface.

I wish I could get over my aversion to liars and lunatics in public office though.
