Stupid is better than evil

Why I take three Zolfts and four jiggers of red whiskey when I wake up!

Just one of the many reasons we hate John McCain is for his raw stupidity in allowing himself to be used by democrats.  You may remember that he was feted by the left during his try for the 2000 nomination.  John McCain, maverick for truth.  Bush dirty tricks, blah-blah-blah.  During the Republican National Convention that year, the left held a Shadow Convention, and McCain was extended an invitation to participate. He freaking accepted! They booed the crap out of him when he reached the podium. Even after all that, he apparently failed to grasp the truth; he'd been used as a pawn and was no longer useful as the left's idiot. Until 2008.

That's what I remembered when I saw last night's Drudge banner ....

NOW THAT HE'S SECURED NOMINATION: NYT DOWNLOADS ON MCCAIN

Mark Finkelstein has the story.  McCain's pawn utility is over, and the New York Times wastes no time announcing, "We're in the bag for Obama!"

Don't want to take NB's word about the NYT's liberal bias affecting its news coverage? Here's James Kirchick, Assistant Editor of the liberal New Republic, writing in NR's "Plank" blog last night about the New York Times McCain article [emphasis added]:
What Story?

So here's the essence of the Times' 3,000-word "bombshell" on John McCain.

John Weaver, whom McCain fired last summer (identified in the Times piece as "now an informal campaign adviser" to McCain, which sounds like a puffed-up euphemism for "unemployed") says that 8 years ago, he and two other former employees who have since "become disillusioned" (read: disgruntled), suspected that McCain was having an affair with a lobbyist.

The rest of the article, rehashing old news about the Keating Five, is, as Rich Lowry says, complete "window dressing." If you had been wondering whether the Times was in the tank for Obama, well, here's your answer.

The Times endorsed him. Which is why "I love my country more than I hate McCain is operative. If Obama is selected to play America's Nero, our choices are to watch our country burn, or resort to THIS.

Well, I don't vote, as in, why participate in my own rape? But for those who do: say what you will about him, McCain loves this country.

You know what? I think he does, but does he love himself even more? The evidence says yes. Oh, Hitler and Stalin loved theirs too. In fact, so do I, but when I'm elected president for life, I'm arresting 28 million people the first day.

Where you find these photos! That (pop-up) is HUGELY appropriate!

Maha-Rushie has given his definitions of hope lately. Here's mine, based on against all odds:

John McCain's vengeful nature (detriment) that he displayed against Bush in 2000 and throughout Bush's following two terms, will be a 'benefit' to us as the Maverick halo is ripped off his head by MSM and Liberals for Obama.
If he feels a vengeance for them, perhaps he'll reign back in with the R's.
Yes, I know. I said HOPE.

Thanks Juice. I don't have a life.

You know what they say Juice. You put hope in one hand, and shit in the other, and see which one gets full first.

You know you're right. Even wishes won't outweigh the stink. However, what you read in my comment is what our son lovingly refers to as "Momisms." ;p
But then, that's what moms are fer.

God knows I love my country. But I cannot seem to push my self to vote for McCain.I somehow feel we will at least know that the enemy has power if the crappers get the whitehouse and most decent people3 will fight them tooth and nail. McCain I fear they will just give a pass to turn the nation over to Mexico. So you will see here what is currently being played out in Kosovo.
