You're full of crap.

You, Ms. Rice,  are the little league mom who watches her son get hit in the thigh with a pitched ball, clocked at a blazing 32 mph, and shake it off.  Until.  Until you run out there and hug him,  all "Oh Timmy are you okay?  Show mommy where it hurts."  At which point the tears flow.  Years later you wonder why Timmy is such a whiny, pasty-face, blame-shifting  loser. It's over. Or would be, if you, and Blacks who use race as a political weapon, would STFU!

choice-chains... why not take the high road and lay claim (brag about) to the fact that without the african labor force the US would not have been able to build fast enough to stave off the imperialists from europe and maintained a free country which allows all people to prosper?

Picking cotton and tobacco isn't exactly founding a nation is it? The high road would be thanking us for their past chains because without them they'd still be among their tribal cousins running from wild animals and slaughtering each other without remorse. Oh, wait. Never mind.

She's not factually incorrect. What a different country we'd be, had we solved the slavery issue with the adoption of the constitution, instead of fighting a civil war that destroyed the flower of a generation of real Americans.
