I was a lad of about 2-3 years. Granny was giving me a bath when a neighbor lady burst into the bathroom to see if I was there. Turns out my mom's best friend, her maid of honor, lived upstairs and had a son, Mikey, my age. He leaned against the screen and fell about 6 stories to his death. I had no concept of death then, so what I remember was looking at the picture in the next day's Chicago Tribune, and the dotted line from his window to the street. I was disappointed I couldn't be seen in our window. That's what this picture reminded me of.
