The Decemberist

Communists for Obama
Drudge Headline Sunday, May 18 2008

It turns out that we're the asses for believing that last Sunday's big Obama Rapture was real.  Crowds as big as a city!  Historic proportions.  Shame on me. Eventually I'll learn that everything - I said EVERYTHING - about this man is contrived.  Oh, the crowds were there alright.  They just weren't there in those numbers to see some punk politician.  In case you missed the story on NBC News(!), Pajama's Media has it.  Here's a cut from Communists for Obama

They waited for hours under a warm sun, the line snaking for blocks and blocks through downtown. They packed onto the park lawn, from the makeshift stage to the waterfront and up to the street. They watched from a bridge overhead and from pleasure boats on the river, bikini-clad. They brought their parents and their infants. Some skipped work. Some wilted in the heat. A few jammed the streets afterward, hoping for a final motorcade glimpse. Fire department officials counted 75,000 in all, a record for the main attraction, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.).

Not a word about the popular Obama-supporting band — which is a shame, because it’s the most interesting development in this whole episode.

The group Obama's campaign chose to add zest to his Portland appearance is a hip local band, The Decemberists.  In case you miss the meaning, here's a hint.

The band’s name apparently comes from the [6] Decembrists, a group Russian aristocrats who staged an unsuccessful uprising in 1825 to dispose of the czar and establish a constitutional democracy. Some of them were executed; others were jailed or exiled to Siberia.

That’s right: incredible as it sounds, the band blasts the Russian-language national anthem of the USSR at the beginning of every concert. And not the sanitized Putin version either — the old-guard Communist version that glorifies the Party of Lenin. Do I remember those lyrics well! As a former Soviet citizen, I have quite an emotional connection to this music ... .

I would love to see a video of Obama as he listened to this. Did he stand at attention? Did he put his hand on his heart? Or did the band can the anthem for the time being, just like Obama canned his longtime “mentor and spiritual advisor” for political expediency? “Yes we can,” people.

This is the event where Obama made this pronouncement about the world's impatience with evil America, but what's more significant than Obama's choice in music is, IMO, the media's neglect in mentioning this aspect altogether.  This contrivance named Obama, in every respect, belongs to the  media.  In effect, the overthrowing of the  United States government is all but complete. If they fail this time, they'll be back.

Here's a good Obama as Commie ratbastidd link. This clown has quite the assortment of foul friends.

By the way, the above mentions "Some wilted in the heat." No mention of fainting tho.

Who knows what mindless drivel will spill from a libtard's piehole these days, but the Decembrists weren't commies. They were more akin to our founding fathers trying to throw off the monarchy of the Tzar.
