Dear Lord Jesus, I do not often speak with you and ask for things, but
now, I really must insist that you help me win the election tomorrow
because I deserve it and Paul Metzler doesn't, as you well know. I
realize that it was your divine hand that disqualified Tammy Metzler
and now I'm asking that you go that one last mile and make sure to put
me in office where I belong so that I may carry out your will on earth
as it is in heaven. Amen. - Tracy Flick - "Election" *

... Clouding
the picture, however, is a campaign by Rush Limbaugh, the radio talk
show host, urging his listeners to cast their ballots for Mrs. Clinton
“if they can stomach it,” in order to prolong the Democratic race and
weaken the eventual winner.
... But Republican voters interviewed here said that Mr. Limbaugh was not a
factor in their decision to vote in the Democratic primary, and that it
was the issues that propelled them.

This
is hilarious, and an obvious attempt to relieve leftist angst by minimizing the success Limbaugh's Operation Chaos
is having in mucking up Democrat plans. Here's what we
know. One in ten voters casting ballots in the (crucial to
Hillary ) PA primary were Republican crossovers. One third
of those changed affiliation after Rush
began Operation Chaos prior to the Texas primary. Those votes
were Hillary's margin of victory.

“They’re
in the midst of tearing themselves apart right now,” Mr. Limbaugh said
in an interview with Fox News just before the Texas and Ohio primaries
on March 4. “It’s fascinating to watch, and it’s all going to stop if
Hillary loses.”

"Mr. Limbaugh said
in an interview with Fox ....?
This struck me as peculiar. Since Limbo talks of little else on his own
show, and which effort has been widely reported by the media,
including one last week in the SFChron ("Limbaugh seeks to sow chaos in Democrats' race")
why that reference? Simple. The Times used the opportunity to
buttress the perception that FNC is part of the VRWC, and deal
with another development that has Nut Roots in hysterics - "The rush of top Democrats to appear on the Fox News Channel." Tracy Flick captured these people perfectly.
