London's new Mayor

This is cool.  Since Bush was elected in 2000, the left have been telling us that we're out of step with the world.  With today's election of the Conservative candidate, Boris Johnson as London's Mayor, beating the incumbent communist, Ken Livingstone, the trend is clear.  It is the United States that is out of step.  France, Germany, and Canada are among those nations who have recently kicked the socialist habit. Can the leader of the free world do less?

Good for Londonistan, it's a start. Let's not forget Italy, where that wild man Berlusconi won a third term (and the commie ratbastidds got shut out for the first time since 1948).

And Rome, where "Residents of Rome have elected the Italian capital's first right-wing mayor since World War II and given Silvio Berlusconi's conservatives another major victory, final returns from local elections showed Monday."

Europe may be waking up. I bet there are some folk in Brussels about now whose sphincters are so tight you couldn't get a needle up there without using a ballpeen hammer. Which could be arranged. Does the Barn Army have a department of Wetworks?

The Conservative party of the UK and the Conservatives of the USA are not the same. Tony Blair was a member of the Labor Party.
