Yes, alas; the Republicans are like deer in the headlights. If we're lucky McC will eke out the presidency, but the Demonrats will almost certainly pick up 4 or 5 seats in the Senate and 10 to 20 in the House. Unless and until the Republicans get back to their roots, this will last until the end of McCain's first (and, unless I miss my bet, only) term.
