Here's today's secret stuff.  Awhile back I noticed that if I stopped SpyBot after it had been scanning, maybe 3 minutes, it seemed to have found the same number of prollems as when I scanned the whole deal.  Tonight I decided to find out. 

After a few minutes I stopped the scan, and SpyBot displayed 38 problems which I had "fixed." I then immediately ran it again, this time all the way.  Results at the right.  With all that extra time now, I can find even more stuff.  Don't thank me, it's what I'm paid top do,

It finds the common MSIE browser 'sploits quickly.

It's the zombie-bot search that takes up most of the time.

After the first three minutes, I just background the search, and open my browser.

If you have MSIE open when it finishes, you might see the restart on exit dialog ... so stop using MSIE.

I was under the impression most of the cookies and such were in a folder the program sought out early. Is this not the case?

Correct ... it does the cookie and browser crap search early.

Then it does the bot check.

Then it fixes everything last. If you hit "cancel", it stops the search, and then fixes whatever it found at that point.
