Last
week Cuzzin Ricky mentioned this, and I meant to follow up on it, but
didn't. Obviously, though, I haven't forgotten. He had, he
told me over chicken wings, watched an interview where the asker said
to the democrat pooh-bah guest,
"I've been astonished over
the vitriol democrats have displayed against the Clintons during all
this. Charges of misfeasance, criminal activity ... you
seem to be agreeing with what Republicans have been saying for
years. What happened?"
I'm paraphrasing, of course, but his(her?) answer was -
"Well, that's just it. With the Clintons under attack by
Republicans, we had to defend them, because they were what we had."
There you have it.
