What is, perhaps, a bit more difficult to see is that the crowbar has actually been impaled through the guy's neck. Evidently, he was trying to do something dangerous with it and told his girlfriend, "Here, hold this, and whatever you do, don't release it until I say to." She saw a camera and... well... released her grip.
