Please turn to hymn HR 7762 in your annotated code book ...

Say Amen
A powerful method of indoctrination is to link Christian principles with negative events in order to divert thinking from the truth.
Apropos the post on "THE ACLU's WORST NIGHTMARE!," and by happenstance, our own schoolmarm Mary had just finished reading "Anti-Christian Bias in Education"  by Michael J. Chapman.

A little intro dirge, Maestro.
For more than a dozen years, I have been working to expose anti-Christian bias within America’s popular curriculum. But it wasn’t until I ran across a copy of Curriculum Standards for Social Studies,[1] published by the National Council for the Social Studies under a US Department of Education grant, that I realized the force of law was now driving the agenda.

According to the NCSS standards, “[I]t is clear that the dominant social, economic, cultural and scientific trends that have defined the western world for five centuries are rapidly leading in new directions.”[2]

The dominant trends that defined Western civilization are of course, the Judeo/Christian worldview. So what does this mean for social studies? The NCSS explains, “The United States and its democracy are constantly evolving and in continuous need of citizens who can adapt… to meet changing circumstances. Meeting that need is the mission of the social studies.”[3]
Oh, there is more to it ... .

We now pretty much have set in place all the preconditions Eric Hofer described (True Believer) for the formation of a  secular state modeled after Mr. Schickelgruber's National Socialist Party, and Mr.  Ulyanov's version of the same.   That is, one with archbishops named Waters, Waxman and Boxer, and a Bible titled "Annotated Code."

Okay, fine, the constantly evolvers will go on constantly tearing down; but where are those who should be shouting STOP?!

I blame the Republican Party, which has joined the constantly evolvers, rather than having coalesced the resistance. True, there are genuine conservatives, at the margins; but without a central agent to carry the traditional banner defeat is certain. The Republican Party is that agent. There is no other. And the Republican Party has abdicated its responsibility.

That's why we're in this mess. There is no party of FIGHT BACK!

I made the mistake in one of my letters of expressing exorbitant hopes for the role National Review might play in political affairs. He dashed them down in a paragraph unmatched in the literature of supine gloom, sentences that President Reagan, who was in awe of their eloquence, and defiant of their fatalism, publicly recalled more than once. It is idle, he rebuked me, to talk about preventing the wreck of Western civilization. It is already a wreck from within. That is why we can hope to do little more now than snatch a fingernail of a saint from the rack or a handful of ashes from the faggots, and bury them secretly in a flowerpot against the day, ages hence, when a few men begin again to dare to believe that there was once something else, that something else is thinkable, and need some evidence of what it was, and the fortifying knowledge that there were those who, at the great nightfall, took loving thought to preserve the tokens of hope and truth.

The tokens of hope and truth were not to be preserved, he seemed to be saying, in a journal of opinion, not to be preserved by writers or thinkers. Only by activists, and I was to know that he considered a publication — the right kind of publication — not a word, but a deed. In the final analysis it was action, not belletrism, that moved him most deeply.
