"Peter Osnos, who wrote Wednesday that he "worked very closely" with
Scott McClellan on McClellan's new book published by PublicAffairs
which Osnos founded, is a liberal whose publishing house is affiliated
with the far-left The Nation magazine and the publisher of The
Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder. PublicAffairs has a roster of
authors who are nearly all liberals and/or liberal-leaning mainstream
media figures, including six books by far-left bank-roller George
Soros. On Wednesday's CBS Evening News, Ari Fleischer related that
"Scott told me that his editor did 'tweak,' in Scott's word, a lot of
the writing, especially in the last few months." In an "Eat the Press"
blog entry Wednesday, Rachel Sklar asked Osnos: "Did you work directly
on the book with McClellan? (Who was his editor?)" Osnos replied: "The
editor was Lisa Kaufman and yes, I worked very closely with them."' [wortwhile Amazon thread ]

That was one of the first references to Soros I read, and by now the answer to the question, "Did hard left Peter Osnos ghost write McClellan's Book?," appears to be - Almost certainly, yes. Especially now that we have McClellan's original book proposal in hand.

Scott McClellan Originally Planned to Attack Media, Defend Bush
Reading
through McClellan's original book proposal, obtained by Politico.com,
it is clear that before his editor Peter Osnos took the book on a sharp
leftward turn, McClellan wanted to turn the tables on foes in the press
gallery including far-left columnist Helen Thomas and NBC correspondent
David Gregory.
"I came to know and respect those who were assigned to the White House
beat. They are solid professionals, but rarely scrutinized or put under
the microscope. I will take a look at notable personalities in the
White House Briefing Room, including David Gregory and Helen Thomas. I
anticipate an entire chapter about the former," McClellan writes in his
proposal.
According to McClellan, America's elite journalists have a dramatic
problem with political diversity which in turn leads them to skew the
political debate in a leftward direction. The media are in a "constant
state of denial" when it comes to admitting this.

It's
not news of course that the left media are entirely ideological, and
therefore incapable of factual observation, but this is just
staggering. True, McClellan must be extraordinarily weak willed,
but that they have the audacity to even consider a stunt like this, let
alone pull it off is crushing. Click-click. It's Soros, not
bin-Laden, and notAhmadinejad, but Soros who's our greatest single enemy. I'd be looking for his cave, starting now.
