Heh, is that Sally Ewing on that bike? Nothing wrong with her that ten laps a day around the barnyard, and a smack on the ass couldn't cure.

Hillary riding with Kerry? I guess so!

I already agreed with most of what Raymond Kraft has to say, in my comments a while back, but I am still in favor of cellulose ethanol from waste vegetation, NOT food grains such as corn.I also believe that massive cellulose factories are not the answer because of the transportation costs to get the raw material to the site.Small manufacturers are called for to produce alchohol at the closest to the raw (waste)material. Ethanol is never going to be anything but a part of the mix and EVERYTHING has to be included.Every energy source must be put into play to save our economy and to reduce dependence on imported oil. When I consider the billions of dollars being send overseas to buy oil, the profits from which finance the killing of our own people, I gain a spot in my heart for tax breaks for any company that invests and constructs to produce ANY type of energy to reduce that outflow of our wealth.
If somebody built a facility in my neck of the woods to produce energy, of whatever sort, wind, solar, ethanol from waste, drilling for oil/natural gas, nuclear, or recovered cooking grease or turning pig shit into methane, and creating jobs while reducing our dependence, he's got my blessing.More than a useless blessing though would be tax breaks if the guy sees himself losing money on the operation every year.....We need the jobs and we need to keep our energy dollars here at home....Every time I think about the people that we are supporting with our cash in return for their oil, I erupt into a boil you could melt lead in.
According to "but wait, there's more" oil supplies within America, it reminds me of that joke where some guy is in need of saving and evertime someone comes by offering assistance he declines, "No thanks, God will save me." Duh! No thanks, Green will save me.
Just how spoiled, stupid, and demanding do we appear to other oil producing countries? We're perfectly able to provide for ourselves and yet we're begging for the crumbs from another's table. All the while Liberalism believes the higher the gas price, the less people drive 'Global Warming Vehilcles' replaced by the bicycle. Except, of course, for themselves. Always in the name of "the greater good." Ah! The insanity!

What's up Rodger? Is June 10th Celebrate the Ugly Day? *ralph*
I'm going camping. No cells or wi-fi. See you this weekend, have fun! ;-)
From the snow of far off northern lands,
to the sunny tropic scenes;
we should tap our oil resources
and render out the fat-assed Greens
Have fun Juice. Say hi to the retiree for me.

I hope that bicycle seat got sterilized with bleach after she was done.
Hey Tim! you got it. But if hubby catches me on the net again this morning while we're prepping to leave.... Aye!Yye-Yye! Take care :)
A point not made often enough: The Greens are at least as concerned about the environmental aspect of drilling as they are about burning the product. Americans are going to drive their cars, even with fuel prices up as they are. So, where to get the gas?
If Americans drill under American safeguards with American technicians, the harm to planet Earth is much less than it is in say Nigeria, Iran, or Venezuela. Not to mention the hazards of a Chinese coalmine.
There are 5000 rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, all of which did not leak during any of the recent hurricanes. We haven't had a real disaster since 1979.
ANWR is the size of New England. The area directly affected by planned drilling is a sixth the size of Dulles airport, as George Will likes to point out.
Well. I'm not sure that THAT'S going to be good for the children.
