I too consider it the lowest of low things for a boy in man's form to do; Hand a heavy loaded gun tohis lady and "surprise her" with it's recoil.
... On the other hand, my 5' nuthin wife LOVES to shoot my heavy loaded .44s, when she knows what she's in for.

I am 5'3" 105lbs and have shot a 44 with no problems I did not like the recoil but I could do it.. Hitting the target is another story. Having said that there is nothing funny about giving a firearm to someone who is inexperanced, I agree with Kevin I was lucky enough to have grown with and around guns, I have seen people try to start off with big guns and develop the flinch that forever runes people for shooting. The one that handed her that pistol may have ruined her forever for shooting and that is never a funny thing.
