Dinner with Linda

My Dinner with Linda SO.G.
I thought it went well

I thought I'd fly down and surprise Linda with a nice dinner before her brainal treatment begins tomorrow.  I had Celery Broth with Crispy Rock Shrimp, Lemon-Basil Seared Striped Bass w/ Artichokes and Young Squash in a Roasted Golden Tomato Sauce, and a bottle of Robert Pecota Sauvignon Blanc 2000.  I ordered Linda some crackers, figuring she won't remember anyway, and the first-class plane ticket cost an arm and a leg. After she's better I'll order pizza for her.  Shhhh.

Ah! So that's why I found little pieces of rubber between my teeth this morning.

Linda- My prayers are with you. I have a close friend that has been battling the same type of tumor for over 8 years. Every 6 months he has another MRI. If too much grown comes back they scrape it out. He jokes that the back of his skull is like those pajamas that have the buttons in the back. Other than being a pain to keep up with health wise he is doing great. If you ever wanted to talk with him personally just email me. I'm looking forward to hearing a positive update from Rog.

Wow, Sulu was your waiter?

Oh Jodi, what a nightmare your friend is going through! I had brain surgery once, and it was enough. This time, I'm going with radiation that will hopefully stop the tumor from growing.

The big deal tomorrow is to see whether the darn thing is blocking the blood flow. If it is, I have to another procedure before the radiation to take care of that.

Best post ever! 11. Best comment thread ever! 12.

Linda, it's obvious we all love you and you'll get through this just fine. Rodger is the one who always points this out.

Prayers are in a continuous stream for Linda and Jodi's friend.

You know you are loved by all of us on the innertubes. You know that Rodger loves you 'cause he didn't stuff one of those one fingered balloons in you mug.
And he better get you one of those fancy assed supreme pizza's.
