LA Times = They've seen one too many Sci-Fi channel made for TV disaster movies.

I saw some good news on Friday, on Drudge I think, about how many idyots the LA Slimes were laying off. Eveidently they didn't do it quick enough.
When the tallying is rang up, it will be found that Earthling males who tan easily will be found to possess the most Caucasian sperm......Same old story of power, control and greed..."Women and minorities suffer most”....Oh the humanity..will the descrimination never end.
Looks like the LA Times writer picked up a copy of Lucifer's Hammer at a yard sale.
Asteroids? 'Tain't nothin'. When the pressure building under Yellowstone blows it'll be lights out.
True, we are NOT prepared to do any more than say "WHAT WAS THAT???"
Despite the sci-fi movies from Hollywood, we have NO way of dealing with an incoming rock unless we had several decades advance notice. The technology just does not exist.
Loved "Lucifer's Hammer" back when it came out, tho....
timo,
Agree. Another vote for Lucifer's Hammer. Great scifi book!
