College

Attention parents ...

Yeah, I know.  Your kid's off to college and wants a $3000 Apple like his friends.  Screw'm.  You've already been gouged far too much for what will amount to four years of commie propaganda.  Prolly flunk out anyway. Get him this Sellout Woot, and tell him how you had to scribble every thing using a pencil.  Too late for Dr. and Mrs. Hard Crab, evidently.
Well, Karen and I left right after work yesterday to drive son #2 down to Florida State. We got half-way through South Carolina and got a hotel. Working on 2nd cup of coffee from McDonalds next door (hotel breakfast soesn't start until 7). The fastest way to go today is to take 95 to Jacksonville and then head due West on 10. I wonder what the weather is going to be like????

Why couldn't he have gone to Maryland???? Oh, yeah. I forgot about the picture below...

I sat down a few years ago and tried a slide rule ... couldn't multiply 2X2 on it.

Dont worry about the weather. I live in the Jacksonville area and this has been the best non hurricane in years. And do you know why FSU players wear orange? So they can do their community service without changing clothes.

Rodge! You are reading my mind! The wife got him that damn Apple a couple weeks ago. I think it's too late to send it back now!!

Tim. Just got here (Tallahassee). Going past Jax wasn't too big of a deal. Every now and then got a gust that just about blew my off the road. I lived in Key West and Jax for a total of 6 years and I agree. This is just a summer storm. It's raining the proverbial cats and dogs here now.

And BogDog, you are absolutely right: His exact words were "I want to get the hell away from Merlin!!!

A high school teacher taught us the slide rule. We were all like, but can't we just buy a calculator?
They were new and upwards of $200 to get 2X2.
He was all like no, they'll always be too expensive. We never once believed him, but did learn the slide rule. Cool tool!
