Obama's Terrorists

Smooth Move Ex-Lax
Another Obama misfire
Posting on The Corner, Peter Wehner thinks this (right) Obama response to last week's American Issues Project video, about Obama's association with radical Bill Ayers is a huge mistake.
FAIL
Senator Obama’s new ad, trying to explain his association with the unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers, may rank as among the worst tactical mistakes of the campaign. It puts into play an issue that has been largely ignored by the MSM. It will drive at least some responsible members of the press to cover the truth about Obama’s association with Ayers, which is certainly enough to seriously harm Obama. And it once again raises the problem of Obama’s other troubling associations over the years, including (but not exclusive to) the Reverend Jeremiah Wright.
The key of course is Wehner's "responsible members of the press" caveat.  You will not be seeing any of this on broadcast or cable  news shows, outside of FNC is my guess. McCain's response was quickly delivered - and damned good.

“The fact that Barack Obama chose to launch his political career at the home of an unrepentant terrorist raises more questions about his judgment than any ad ever could. And the fact that he’s launching his own convention by defending his long association with a man who says he didn’t bomb enough U.S. targets tells us more about Barack Obama than any of tonight’s speeches will.”

We are only talking about half of the question. It isn't just what did Obama see in Ayers (access to money and political inroads)? The more important question is what did Ayers see in the young Obama that made him decide to support his candidacy? We know what kind of scum Ayers is, what about Obama impresses someone like that?
