‘community organizer,’ except that you have actual responsibilities."

Zinngggg....

Her speech is still to come, but how's this for an excerpt from Palin's speech?
"I had the privilege of living most of my life in a small town. I was just your average hockey mom, and signed up for the PTA because I wanted to make my kids’ public education better. When I ran for city council, I didn’t need focus groups and voter profiles because I knew those voters, and knew their families, too. Before I became governor of the great state of Alaska, I was mayor of my hometown. And since our opponents in this presidential election seem to look down on that experience, let me explain to them what the job involves. I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a ‘community organizer,’ except that you have actual responsibilities."

I turned on the TV to watch this speech (about half hour from now). This is a big deal, as it's rarely on unless the Browns or Buckeyes are playing. She is about to give the most historic speech by a vice presidental candidate ever.

I'm pumped for this, Rodg and friends. I'm truly excited.

To the press: " I'm not going to Washington to seek their good opinion, I'm going to serve the people!"

How refreshing.

She delivered. Outstanding. It's known that she didn't write it, but it's her thoughts, wouldn't have done it otherwise. I'm sold.

I see a younger, more attractive, American version of Maggie Thatcher, the Iron Lady.

I had the great good fortune to see Margret Thatcher speak, and then was particularly blessed to see her speak yet again. Whatever "it" is, the lady had it.

I think Casca is right. Give Gov. Palin twenty more years, and she will stand up very well in comparison to Maggie.

Giddy as I may be. I still hold out hope for Nugent/Palin.

The very embodiment of the word RINO secures the Republication presidential nomination. I am not at all surprised but disgusted all over again.
