I have opined, I think with some justification and accuracy, that the Dems didn't WANT the bailout to pass yesterday. Their fear is that, should the bailout pass, Federal investigations will uncover all of their sweetheart deals with the likes of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Countrywide, etc. and a great many of them will be criminally prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law AND be fined tremendous sums of money.

I see no reason to amend my opinion!

Hate to burst your bubble folks, but read this:

And by the way, Mr. Raines is not advising Mr. Obama.

Lollers.

Mr. Anon kipes an article from business week...written from a press release that was received. Great journalism? Not so much.

One the west coast we've had to deal with the Afpel Test. If you're Afpel, and you really, really, really believe in a thing, that makes it true.

Mr. Anon passes the Afpel Test. I betcha he really, really, really believes the stuff he says is true, which makes it true. Having read the article, and the articles cited, it seems there are lots of people who really, really, really believe that the CRA had nothing to do with the sub-prime collapse of the mortgage industry. Really.

I show you purple and you show me a poll that says it's yellow.

I'll give you benefit of the doubt - that you're not an Obama cultist night rider, but just one of the too many people in this country with no ability to exercise critical judgment. Did you watch what went on? JFC!

Obama's association with Raines existed, although both now play it down. The more significant Fannie tie is with Jim Johnson, crook extraordinaire, and the man Hussein tapped to pick his vive-president.

If you're still around, answer this. Name one achievement Obama has had in his entire life. One. And don't say "gettin people in a room with a buncha ideas."

So, forcing banks to buy crap loans had nothing to do with it? Huh, thanks for the clarity.

They keep pulling this on the grounds that "Money For Nothing" from "Burnin' Down the House" is copyrighted. Someone needs to re-record the video with a different soundtrack. I'd do it but I don't know how. Hey Rodger Dodger, you R da MAN...

Notice that I did not post this on YouBoob ... It works.

Here's the video, courtesy redstate.com, with 'freed' music and a dig at Time-Warner. I like the original version better.
