Recipients of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
Campaign Contributions, 1989-2008

Wonder how things got so bad?
The savings and loan crisis of the 1980s and 1990s has some common thread with the current Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac deal.  Here's the list of  the top 20 congressioanl recipients of cash between 1989-2008.  I find it interesting that the One is second only to Chris Dodd, even though he's been in congress just 3½ years. I see one of my Senators, John Cornyn, is on the list along with some other TX losers. Only bright spot is my Rep., Ralph Hall, is NOT. Sad to say, his wife just died and he may retire. IMO, a good legislator.
I may have to stop looking at all of this. It is just too discouraging. mary

Hey!! I was at Pax twice in my Navy career. First time was back in 75 (when they still had strip clubs outside the main gate) and then from 94-97 for my twilight tour.

They have a great Fleet Reserve Association out there too.

SMIBs ..... "What has 12 teeth and 32 feet???"

"The line for cotton candy at the St Mary's County Fair!"

The only strip place left is Rose's and they combined the clubs (no more seperate chief's or EM). The one good thing about it is they brew beer on premises.

If you haven't been here in the last 10 years, you would not believe what it looks like now! The 5 mile stretch from my house to the main gate is 8 lanes and filled on both sides with hotels, stores, and car dealers. Great Mills road is considered the ghetto now....
