Olbermann, Matthews, Brand

NBC, MTV- same deal
screeds

If you saw Russel Brand's Palin rant during yet another MTV awards show yesterday, chances are it was censored, so now you can live it live. If you saw it live, well then you wouldn't be reading this blog, would you?  What struck me is that Brand's screed is barely distinguishable from the drive-by media's reporting on Governor Palin, although two of the worst have been sacked (NBC, I guess, wants a little more nuance in their sycophancy).

Actually, he's not too far off with that scissors in the UK reference. This is a country that is considering banning sharp knives to curtail crime (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/4581871.stm).

Keep this in mind when someone from the "global community" tells you who to vote for.

To paraphrase a line from UHF,

"The global community? Let me tell you something: this global community means about as much to me as a festering bowl of dog snot!"
