If you haven't received this "Where is Your God Now?"
e-mail, or article link from a relative, or friend wishing to save you
you from the horrible mistake that is Sarah Palin, you
will. It may begin:

Editor's note: The writer is a homemaker and education advocate
in Wasilla, Alaska. Late last week, Anne Kilkenny penned an e-mail for
her friends about vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, whom she
personally knows, that has since circulated across comment forums and
blogs nationwide. Here is her e-mail in its entirety, posted with her
permission. Crosscut

Homemaker
Kilkenny paints a picture of a monster who hoodwinked the
townspeople of Wasilla, AK into electing her mayor, only to fall victim
to her death squads. OMFG!
Who is this suffering home-maker? For starters ...
- Anne Kilkenny, has a Social Science BA from the University of California, Berkeley.
And just for the record, there's ...
-
KILKENNY, ANNE
SCAPPOOSE,OR 97056 NOT EMPLOYED/RETIRED 6/17/08 $500 Obama, Barack (D)
KILKENNY, ANNE
COLUMBUS,OH 43220 NOT EMPLOYED/HOMEMAKER 3/19/08 $250 Obama, Barack (D)
Yes, our Anne Kilkenny is an unemployed Wasilla
housewife, and these donations are from Anne Kilkennys in Oregon and
Ohio. Wasilla Anne wouldn't stoop to providing bogus I.D., would
she? Maybe all people named Anne Kilkenny are somehow cosmically afflicted with Liberalitis? Just asking. Among Anne's charges ....

The huge increases in tax revenue during her mayoral administration
weren't enough to fund everything on her wish list, though — borrowed
money was needed, too. She inherited a city with zero debt but left it
with indebtedness of more than $22 million. What did Mayor Palin
encourage the voters to borrow money for? Was it the infrastructure
that she said she supported? The sewage treatment plant that the city
lacked? Or a new library? No. $1 million for a park. $15 million-plus
for construction of a multi-use sports complex, which she rushed
through, on a piece of property that the city didn't even have clear
title to.

The New York Times, most likely piqued by this, and similar reports of Palin atrocities, printed Palin’s Start in Alaska: Not Politics as Usual. Kilkenny was cited as a critic. This is how they reported Palin's spending spree.

Ms. Palin, her critics note, was not always the fiscal watchdog she has
since boasted of being. In her second term as mayor, she pushed for a
half-cent raise in the local sales tax to pay for a $15 million sports
complex. The complex is popular and a junior league hockey team plays
there now, but the city recently had to pay more than $1.3 million to
settle an ownership dispute over the site.

A Free Republic commenter sums it up nicely.
61 This is very similar to the attacks on .... ANY Republican
candidate. Huckabee, Romney, Thompson, G W Bush, Quayle, Gingrich,
DeLay, ... It’s all the same.
The Jerome Corsi book “The Obama Nation” tells the story about
Barack Obama the liberal MSM refuses to write. All Corsi did was find
the snippets of facts strewn all around like $20 bill the MSM refused
to pick up.
This is the converse. They pick up bits of lint dog poo and announce “aha, I’ve found it!” as if it’s something valuable.
They are trying the Quayle-ize Palin. In 1988, the MSM could do that because there was no competition for the MSM.
We’ll see if they succeed this time.
