The Big Switch?

SNOPES
Claim:   Joe Biden is planning to step down from the vice-presidential slot on the Democratic ticket in favor of Hillary Clinton.

Status:   Undetermined.

Example:   [Collected via e-mail, September 2008]

On or about October 5th, Biden will excuse himself from the ticket, citing health problems, and he will be replaced by Hillary. This is timed to occur after the VP debate on 10/2.

There have been talks all weekend about how to proceed with this info. Generally, the feeling is that we should all go ahead and get it out there to as many blog sites and personal email lists as is possible. I have already seen a few short blurbs about this - the 'health problem' cited in those articles was aneurysm. Probably many of you have heard the same rumblings.

However, at this point, with this inside info from the DNC, it looks like this Obama strategy will be a go. Therefore, it seems that the best strategy is to get out in front of this Obama maneuver, spell it out in detail, and thereby expose it for the grand manipulation that it is.

So, let's start mixing this one up and cut the Obamites off at the pass - send this info out to as many people as you can - post about it on websites and blogs - etc.
We are not surprsed at all, are we?  The empty suit teams with the most hated woman in America?  Yippie-Kai-Ay.

Hillary replaces Biden? Will it happen?
Yup
Nope

It seems to me that the only reason Biden could step aside is for "health" reasons. To step aside for *any* other reason would demonstrate that Obama's "judgment" is not what he's tried to make it seem.
But since Biden is running simultaneously for his senate seat and the vice presidency, any "health" problem that would prevent him from being an effective VP must be also sufficient to have him leave his senate campaign as well. If you can't be VP, you certainly can't be well enough to be a Senator, now can you.

Biden just keeps be a win-win choice for the other side.

Tradesports has the order at 5.2...very unlikely at this point. This may be a very good deal because I can't see them keeping him.

The reason it won't happen is that every state has laws governing when the last ballot changes can be made. New Jersey's Supreme Court might be able to sweep that whole law bidnez under the carpet, but all of the swing states won't.

Finally, I'm not so sure her cankleness would be willing to do it, or even help the ticket that much if she did.

I have to agree on a couple of counts here.

1. I thing that the scenario is a real possibility. The People's Republik Good Ship Obama is taking on water quickly.
2. The best way to defuse the possibility of a changeling is to get it out everywhere so that any changeling swap would be an object of ridicule.

The one thing that I can't figure out with my limited cognative ability is "how much of his soul will barryo have to offer to Hillary"? The pricetag isn't going to be cheap. Also, where would that leave the hildabeast for 2012? I'm thinking more along the lines of a Sebaliabitch or whatever her name is in a desperate attempt to grab some of the womyns vote back.

Oh, by the way, I'm noticing a lot of the yard signs in my 'burban neighborhood are for dem congress and dem state races but the obama signs are missing in action..

Biden can step aside all he wants, but Hillary won't take it.

Biden is there to say stupid things so Obama doesn't look so dumb.

...so Obama doesn't look so dumb.

Doesn't seem to be working.

Then the GOP should counter with McCain setpping down, leaving Palin running for President with John Bolton for VP.

OMG. I just pissed myself.

Nothing would surprise me with this election but I don't think Hillary would go for it, she wants the top spot and she's set her sights on 2012. Unless she plans on assasination, she would never take the second spot now. and... She won't jump on a sinking ship. I think she's content to stand back and watch the Obama campaign's self-immolation, then she gets to say I told you so.

my biggest nightmare: Biden steps down. Obama is found ineligible to be President. Hillary becomes the nominee. And her VP choice is...Al Gore.

Linda,
Finding Obama ineligible would throw the extreme left over the edge and cause all sorts of race problems. If Obama is ineligible, it will be covered up.

I've brought up this possibility before.

But I don't think it will happen.

The Dems have a long history of NEVER admitting they were wrong. The HillaryBeast will cackle, consolidate her power and suck up far more money than her campaign losses have accrued.

...they'll suck up a loss and prep for Hillary2012 instead.

Think of it as a race "opportunity." You have the right to defend yourself, and lethal force is appropriate against a rioting mob. Less rampaging entitled morons is a good thing.

Of course, after the slum in every major city burns to the ground, the decent people of America will probably get saddled with the bill for rebuilding, as seems to be the current trend. Politicians fuck it up and we get the bill to fix it. The ink's not even dry on this latest giveaway -- one hundred billion (or more) for this financial market bail out. They just saddled every person in America with thousands of dollars of new debt (actually more, since only 52% of America even pays federal income tax). Never even asked us. It's political rape.
