Trash

Democrats and Their Trash
bah

I began the morning watching DNC member Lynn De Rothschild, a real babe
Stand up and turn around Lynn
, I must say -- watching her on F&F explaining that, "Yes, I'm a Democrat, but I am not from the Liberal wing."  And saying that the prospect of  having the most left-wing Senator sitting  in the Oval Office, beholden to far left elitists like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid would be "disastrous"- before catching herself and changing it to "a real problem" for the country.  And saying that's why she's bailing on her party to support McCain-Palin.

Then my eyes fell to this comment.on a post about how Republicans can't be argued with, because they won't listen to truth.

I recently received an email forwarded to me by a liberal friend of mine. It purported to show various "lies" by Sarah Palin during her convention speech and giving the "facts". I read it over and wrote him back:

"Is this a joke? Did you even read this? Even if I accept your 'facts' as such, not one of them disproves anything Sarah said." All his "facts" did was introduce irrelevancies. For example: Sarah: "I sent the cash back to DC for the Bridge to Nowhere." Facts: "She lobbied for it, then sent the money back to DC." Therefore she lied? My friend thinks so. They were all like that.

So tell me again, who are the ones who won't be persuaded by facts? Who are the ones who can't be reasoned with?

I recently (yesterday) had a similar conversation with a liberal friend.  While I listened, with mouth firmly shut, he explained why he was planting an Obama sign in his front yard. Included in his litany was nary a supportable fact.
  • Obama is simply brilliant, and pure of heart.
  • McCain is four-more-years of Bush, who ruined the economy and raised gas prices
  •  blah-blah-blah
But then the real vitriol.  I mean bitter, acrimonious, foaming at the mouth, rock me back on my heels hatred for .... Dick Cheney.  Dick Cheney?  Yes. Iraq ... invaded as a sop to the Vice President.  Every civilian contract given to his company, which he still controls. Made him a multi-millionaire.

Bear in mind these are educated people.  No, strike that.  Schooled people.  Stupid people.  He finished by asking if  I'd like an Obama sign for my yard. Suicidal people.

Rodge, here's a money making idea for ya. Buy a bottle of two-buck chuck and remove the label. Print up an Obama Democratic Convention Limited Edition label. Sign it with OB's signature. Sell it to Mr. Gullible for $1000, $500 or you name the price and enjoy the proceeds. You're welcome.

Oops, forgot a step. Make sure to slap the new label on the bottle before display.

edumacated? Dennis Prager often says, when some incredible bit of liberal zanniness crosses his radar screen, that they must have a college degree to believe something like that. When they have a Masters or heaven forbid, a PhD, the level of craziness is exponentially increased.

Rodger, you shoulda said.

"Sure, I'll take as many Obama signs as you've got. Winter is coming and I'll need something to put in the fireplace to get fires started."

Ohhh, you said "friend". By bad ;-)

I got another one from my friend today. It was another snarky piece full of trivial absurdities. I replied, "Come November, I hope that you are happy with your fistful of straws." I should forward these to you, Rodg. They're quite amusing.
