Al Gore Magnificent

Sophomoric Stuff

I was watching my daughter's high school field hockey team from the sparsely seated visitor bleachers.  By the bye I found the conversation of a group of girls seated in front of me far more interesting than the game itself.  They appeared to be 15-16 years old, and I got the impression they were playing grown-up, partially for my benefit (girls ALWAYS know if, and what you're looking at).

The language astounded me.  Not just the F-words, which came two to a sentence.  The casual references to who was f-ing whom, and whose "c___" they wouldn't mind "s_____" were beyond my life's experience.  They talked about other things, betraying a naivety and ignorance that one would expect from 16 year old girls, especially if you live with one.  Why am I telling you this?  Because it's what came to mind while I was perusing Northwest Progressive Institute ( a strategy center fighting to restore the American promise). This actually made me laugh out loud - in an empty room..

LIVE from Denver: Al Gore...magnificent

I'm laughing again, so help me.  Al Gore Magnificent.  OMFG!
We've just heard Al Gore, one of the most honored and revered leaders in our party, deliver one of his most compelling speeches ever. Gore's welcome was so loud that Invesco Field shook with the power of rumbling thunder: tens of thousands of pounding feet, clapping hands, and cheers.

Gore began by reflecting on the attitudes of many Americans eight years ago, when the U.S. Supreme Court appointed George W. Bush president.
These people aren't  high school.sophomores.  They need to be nuggie-sticked, but good.
