Gee, big surprise, SNL gets biggest ratings in over a decade. Hmmm.

Gotta hand it to Sarah, she's a real good sport. Walked into the home of the enemy and laughed at herself with them. Very disarming.

No way to spin this as anything but a net gain for Palin. May not help McCain, but it definitely helps her seem more real and that will help her in 4 years.

Notice how they are so much more respectful of her than they ever are when she isn't there? This stuff is still funny but not anywhere near as derisive of her. Yesterday on FOX someone said that she should have made doing a skit where she played Tina Faye a condition for going on the show - a skit about a writing session or some such. I would have loved to have seen that.

Why does our side stoop to yukking it up with the enemy?
I'm gonna puke the next time McCain calls Obamanation "my friend."
Republicans play at politics while the Democrats treat politics as war.

Might have something to do with the 20-or-so armed secret service personnel, standing just off-camera, keeping an eye on her and ensuring her safety.
