Durham Bulls

Today's Durham County Cop Story

A  Durham cop made Remarks against Obama, and is now being probed.  Hopefully not by space aliens, of which I suspect Obama is one. This is Durham County, though.  Home to ex-Durham County DA Mike Nifong, and Duke University professors who tried, on Politically Correct grounds, to railroad the Duke Lacrosse players.  It did remind me of a story I just heard from someone local.  It seems a member of the White House Secret Service detail asked to be reassigned to another unit.  Because, he said, "If I'm going to take a bullet for a president, it has to be one I respect."  His request was denied, so he retired.  This Bud's for you nameless hero,

So it's ok for police to shoot people's dogs in their yard, and kick doors down on phony drug busts, but the police aren't allowed to dis The Golden Boy online. Helluva deal...

Well, I reluctantly have to agree with reassigning the Secret Service agent. Secret Service agents have to be ready to take a bullet for the President, no matter what their personal feelings are. If he is unwilling to do that, he should be moved to another assignment or resign.

I get the theory Cdr J, but when the good guys leave, all you're left with are the bureaucrats, and you end up with something like the Navy.

I don't get it. You are talking about Durham, but show San Francisco cops?
