- George Bush announces he'll stand for the presidency
- A Bush family friend lets a cat out of the bag, "W" was adopted by the Bushes while they were in Poland.
- A Gore campaign spokesman mentions it, as an aside, on This Week With David Brinkley, and Sam Donaldson does a rant on the subject. Everyone else yawns.
- The Bush family ignores it too, but the New York Times Op Ed pages are filled with it. Week after week.
- In March, Rush Limbaugh announces that he has the
copy of George W's Texas birth certificate, and posts it on Free
Republic.Com.
- Gore supporters hire document specialists who pronounce it a fake.
- The Arkansas Hospital Public Relations Director holds
a press conference, and states "its a real certificate." Bush
supporters sneer at the whiny Gore people who still won't let it
go.
- Democratic consultant Bob Beckel produces a tape of
Grandma Bush saying, "Yeah, I remember when they brought that little
Polack home. He was five years old, and couldn't speak a word of
English. Turned out to be a smart little bastard though."
- Candidate Bush posts a statement on his web site stating, "I was born in Texas."
- Republicans refuse to discuss it anymore. \
- The New York Times says, "Okay, I guess that's that.. Sorry."

Items 1-10 are directly parallel to
Barry Sortero's birth certificate case. Item 11 is laughable,
because Bush is a Republican. Now, check out the comments from Obama supporters, and tell me they'd feel the same way in the above hypothetical. I think that's the Cao girl holding the sign.
