I LOVED the old man, he was so freaking funny.
Took me a while and a lot of convincing on the wife's part for me to actually sit down and watch it.
Alan Arkin always a favorite of mine, but to learn the dance he taught his precious grand daughter was truly delightful! That family was fun and interesting, not dif from many others.
Great movie.
I'd say more, but I've taken a vow of silence.
Not my cup of tea. A guy with serious issues - heroin, reading porn mags in front of the kids - teaches his grand daughter to be a stripper. Creepy.
And yeah, if the unbalanced son wasn't color blind, he would be just the sort I want flying military airplanes.
The only character I like in the movie was Miss California, or whatever, who took the time to actually talk to the little girl.
If I want to see Alan Arkin, I will rewatch the In-Laws. Now that was a funny movie...
When I want to watch Alan Arkin I watch Catch 22. Yeah it is an antiwar film but who isn't anti-war. I have to remind my liberal friends all the time: Bush does not love war. No one loves war except Muslims who 'love death more than you love life'. The idea that conservatives love war is a liberal lie. But just about everything out of a liberal's mouth is either a lie or a misunderstanding of reality
