I haven't seen it so I went to IMBD and read the synopsis for No Country for Old Men. It sounds like an interesting storyline, but, alas, I saw that Josh Brolin plays a leading role in it.
That places what good be a good movie squarely in the category of:

He wore a beard, so I didn't know who he was. Woody Harrelson too, flaming POS. But - this is a Coen Bothers movie, and this guy is the best movie villain of all time. Bar none. I loved it, don't let a few assholes run you off, especially when you can see it dirt cheap, or even free. .

I don't like Harrelson or Brolin, but I liked this flick and don't even remember those guys in the movie (it's been awhile). The bad guy was just that BADAZZ., he wiped my memory clean of those RB actors. The store clerk never knew what a lucky day he had, indeed.

Screw the Hollywierd douchebags. Get it straight from the source. Anything written by Cormack McCarthy is a gem. If you liked "No Country" you'll love "The Crossing". If you gotta see a flick, "All the Pretty Horses" isn't too bad either.

AnnoyedOne, you are correct, sir. Her murder was in my mind when I commented on his "badness" and it was disturbing in the movie. In the end, he was still standing. One tough hombre'. Now....when is he going to D.C. like Rodger suggested?

I read several McCarthy books recently. Not real cheerful, but when he describes something I can picture it perfectly. Great imagery and dialog. -
