It may just be me, but the causal way TIME magazine references Al Gore's illegally gotten Buddhist monk campaign money, after ignoring it in real time, is precious.

Al
Gore was able to get most people to forget the money he took from the
tobacco industry and Buddhist monks by winning both the Nobel Prize and
an Oscar for his work on educating the world about the dangers of
global warming and other problems that affect the environment.

If
we are correct, as we assuredly are, that the Global Warming issue was
created by people like them what just cloistered in the Astir Palace Hotel,
as a way of circumventing U.S. property rights, and other pesky
constitutional barriers to one worldism, then they don't need the
pretext anymore, do they? They just went ahead and did it.
Gore will go the way of all useful idiots, although with quite a lot of
money for his time.
