A rose is a rose

Jets Overhead ..

I hear and see F/A-18 Hornets screaming overhead.  Holy Crap!  Ma!   We're taking the G-D country back! Where's my freaking  bazooka?

Nope, Blue Angels practicing for Naval Academy graduation.

Crap.
... a quick sale of the company's healthy assets to a new company initially owned by the U.S. government.

The government's plans include giving stakes in the new company to GM's union ...

In addition, the government would extend a credit line to the new company and forgive the bulk of the $15.4 billion in emergency loans that the U.S. has already provided to GM
Heh.  Just like that.

Obviously this is a new meaning of the word "sale". To quote Obama, um I mean the Godfather, "we'll make them an offer they can't refuse".

I seriously hope everybody just stops buying GM and Chrysler cars, making the UAW and Fed's theft worthless. I guess then with no cars to build Obama will just put the UAW on the fed payroll.

Wanna bet all the government motor pools will now be required to use GM and Chrysler vehicles?

(7-4-1776 reply to a comment by Hancock that they "must all hang together").

I cited it because there are quite a number of Googled sites that wrongly attribute it to Thomas Paine. Prolly read Howard Zinn's crap.

Well, Congrats and best wishes for our Navy grads. In the meantime, I saw this post over at the O Club:
The Navy estimates it will need a total of $163 million to repair the cruiser Port Royal, which ran aground Feb. 5, as well as the attack submarine Hartford and the amphibious transport dock New Orleans, which collided March 20 in the Strait of Hormuz. But the Senate Appropriations Committee plans to fund only $155 million in ship maintenance in the supplemental. The Navy would need a total of about $580 million to erase its current maintenance deficit of $417 million and pay for the repairs to its three damaged ships. The math suggests the Navy is in the red $163 million last year on maintenance costs...

How many Suburban’s are currently in the temporary occupants fleet? His court jester (Biden) had a convoy of 6 or 7 of them hauling him and his extended family members into South Eastern Pa a few months ago when he bought a dog from a local breeder.... F'ng hypocrites! They want US to drive tuna cans while they strut around in the biggest SUVs you can drive!

Lets not forget the footprint Air Force One leaves while jetting him on unnecessary jaunts!
