Vitter's Attempt

Saul Alinsky-ACORN-Democrats
AXIS OF EVIL
Here's Louisiana Sen. David Vitter discussing his efforts to make ACORN open its books, and be held accountable.  That led me to Vitter's effort on the Senate floor to stop what eventually became a $5.2 Billion gift to ACORN, and Sen. Turban smacking down that amendment.  In the same breath last night, I received this.

I don't know if you've seen this but it is a pretty good assessment of our looming peril.

Barack Obama, the Quintessential Liberal Fascist

A juxtaposition waiting to happen, wot?  Excerpt from American Thinker
"They fear that the development and building of People's (community) Organizations is the building of a vast power group which may fall prey to a fascistic demagogue who will seize leadership and control and turn an organization into a Frankenstein's monster against democracy."
 - Saul Alinsky responding to his critics, Reveille for Radicals; p. 199
Dick Turban

When Saul Alinsky began building his community-organization movement in 1930s Chicago, observers were watching Alinsky with one eye, while with the other eye observing the building of communist and fascist movements in Europe.  It wasn't hard then to see in Alinsky's programs at home, elements of the people's revolution from Russia, as well as some of the same "in your face" tactics being employed by Hitler's Brownshirts.

What Alinsky's critics saw was the burgeoning of a national movement, the carefully manipulated construction of people's organizations, which all had two elements in common:  (1) a collectivist creed, which denied the existence of personal responsibility; and (2) an amoral dogma, in which all means were justified by an imaginary utopian end. The sooner we get over this "we all have to work together" bullcrap, the sooner we can begin to take our country back. It's time to come out and identify the leftist as our domestic enemy and step out into the street. These people are communizing America.

Red state governors need to be organizing in a big way. Our enemy is years ahead of us.

God Bless our founding fathers, may we do them honor with our future actions.

I've just spent a half hour with the half wits at google, and I can no longer find the full WFB quote, that begins with his rather being ruled by the first x number of names in the Boston telephone directory. So this is for posterity, and from memory:

I'd rather be ruled by the first 500 names in the Boston telephone directory, than the faculty of Harvard. Given a choice, the faculty of Harvard will vote for utopia, and the pursuit of utopia in the 20th century has led us to the death camps, and the gulag. WFB

Kerning word = exakipse, WFB would have liked that.

Plowboy, I've been working on family genealogy the last few weeks to take my mind off this current mess in our country. Reading about the revolutionary war ancestors in the family lines makes me ashamed of what we have let happen. I hope we can avert this catastrophe.

The dictionary definition of fascism is: “a governmental system with strong centralized power, permitting no opposition or criticism, controlling all affairs of the nation (industrial, commercial, etc.), emphasizing an aggressive nationalism . . .”

The American College Dictionary,
New York: Random House, 1957.
