Evan Thomas Blurts

"stop the damn planet"
"Reagan all about America. Obama's above that."

I waited a whole day before stealing this from Linda SoG, but I had to have it here. It's just that deliciously insane. Evan Thomas ... well, I'll steal the mark-up too.
That's Newsweek editor Evan Thomas, first calling President Reagan "parochial, chauvinist and provincial," and then declaring on MSNBC: "I mean in a way Obama’s standing above the country, above – above the world, he’s sort of God."

I saw that at Ace of Spades and all I could think was, stop the damm planet, I wanna get off.
Evan Thomas may fairly be described as the Media answer to Joe Biden.  Inculcated by the liberal media culture, as he is, Thomas will carelessly blurt out stuff to a fare-thee-well, evidently oblivious that the ethic he subscribes to is at all out of the ordinary.  Here's a clip of Thomas, in 2004, saying that the media desire to get Kerry elected will be worth 15 points to them at the polls.

Now go look at the second half of Soggy's post -  "Good Lord. Even John Stewart is choking on it. (wait for the last line)"

Sickening really. These are the same types who never blinked when Jews were being rounded up and they'll be just fine when those Americans who don't follow the cult are treated the same.

Prepare accordingly.

I've never been a fan of Stewart, but I liked that!
