The Fed. What money?

Is Anyone Minding the Store
at the Federal Reserve?

There are two reasons you should watch this 5 minute video of  Rep. Alan Grayson questioning Elizabeth Coleman, Inspector General for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System,  about .... money.  One is that Grayson is a Florida democrat.  It's been a long time since I heard responsible  talk, about anything really,  from anyone from his herd.   The second reason --  you don't need to know squat about the Fed, or about finance, or about anything to understand what's going on here.  UFB!

from her bio at the fed, "She also attended the Federal Reserve System’s Trailblazers Leadership Conference. Ms. Coleman is a Certified Information Systems Auditor."

Actually it's quite predictable as well as depressing...

Having said that, let me say that I'm THRILLED to find your blog again! I went cold-turkey on the Internet a few years back to get over my ugly addiction. I started reading blogs again a few months ago and was bummed when I did a search on "curmudgeonly" and found that you'd quit posting on the old blog.
I was so happy to find the new link!

He could have stated and asked, "In the name of God, as Inspector General, what are you investigating? Anything? Something? Is there something else that is more important than a magical $1 trillion appearing on your Balance Sheet? It hasn't drawn your attention...yet?"

She" a typical bureaucrat. "Our job is to audit the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve. It isn't our job to audit the actual Federal Reserve banks or to do anything about what we do find or even to understand any of it."
