The fuse is lit ...

What, us, tyrannical?"
During the U.S. Senate confirmation hearings for attorney general nominee John Ashcroft, Senator Ted Kennedy (D-O’Shea’s Saloon) threw a fit over a perfectly correct statement once made by Ashcroft regarding how the founding fathers advocated the Second Amendment right to bear arms because of their belief that a well-armed citizenry constituted yet another check on governmental tyranny. "What, us, tyrannical?" Kennedy bellowed. He then demanded that Ashcroft "apologize to the American people" for having made such an outrageous statement.

Senator Kennedy is perhaps the most important member of Congress because in incidents like this he reminds Americans of how truly corrupt, tyrannical, deceitful, and rotten to the core the US State has become.

Skip forward eight years.  Cao's Blog ...   (The video was made by an Alabama teenager) - the message is from Americans.

This was sent to me through email, but they are the sentiments of everyone I ran across in the airports from Nashville to Chicago and back.

One man said that Obama is an illegal alien; he is a muslim; that there will be war if this doesn’t let up. His medicare is being taxed, he isn’t allowed to pay to see a physician; he can’t drive the kind of car he wants to drive; electricity and other things are going to skyrocket should cap and trade go through…

The democrats are going to have to quickly put all their restrictions and big government into place before it hits Americans’ paychecks…because when that happens, you can bet there will be a revolt on their hands.

There is already talk of a big revolution against the Obama government right now, and it ain’t pretty.

Another man who was visiting from Richmond Virginia said there is going to be serious trouble…

And everyone I talked to was unhappy with the way things are going with the Obama administration.

Yeah, we saw how it was with King George, and under King Barack, things are going in the exact same direction.

Obama and the democrats are underestimating the American people…and there is going to be a backlash if they keep forcing their big government on us.

That’s part of what I took away on this trip; which was totally unexpected..

G**DAMN! A teenager made that video?!? Holy cow, very powerful-I'll tell you, I am already sick to death of Obama, his wife, the left dominated media and Congress-not a one of them appreciate the huge responsibility that they have-it's all about control and power

This weekend I watched "The Patriot". I've seen it half a dozen times, but this weekend it was different. I suggest you watch it. Have to say, I really did not recognize the traits of the self-sacrificing American Revolutionaries within any of my fellow Americans today. If so, I believe that Freemasons, the VFW, Moose Lodges, etc around America would be organizing to fight back. Not with rifles, but with votes and solidarity. I don't see any hint of that other than a tea party or two. You can thump your chest and talk about Americans of the past being underestimated, but I just don't see it in our citizenry. I do hear a lot of people saying "better do it while you still can....". We've already surrendered.

I had my own personal tea party today. I turned in my Maryland EZ Pass transponder in light of onerous new fees going into effect on July 1.

I'm going to do some rent seeking. Delaware looks good right now.

That looked like John Glenn in one shot. I lost all respect for him when he ran interference for Clinton in trade for a ride on the space shuttle.
