The fact that I had to look up "Chris Martin" only proves your point.

I saw Coldplay once on TV. It was an overwrought performance that involved a lot of piano pounding. I was left feeling that it was forced. Very forced.

A brief session with some old Yardbirds songs set me straight again.

hear hear... given the number and frequency of celeb performing artists deaths due to drugs I think it is time for congress and the screen actors guild to impose drug screen requirements (like the athletes) for all artists so we won't be deprived of their talents and they won't have an edge over those struggling artists who depend solely on their God given talents to try and entertain us.
