Today is my birthday. As my birthday wish, I hope that every sailer, airman, soldier, Marine, Coastie, CIA agent gets to feel the joy displayed in that photo very soon.
What the give to us can never be justly compensated.

such a huge sacrifice...

I cannot imagine being away from my little ones for so long, and I'm a man! How incredibly hard it must be for a woman.

"When Mommy comes marching home again." If that don't bring a tear of appreciation to the corner of your eye then you ain't quite right in the head and you probably voted for Obama.

"I walk ten thousand miles,
ten thousand miles, to see you
And every gasp of breath,
I grabbed it just to find you
I climbed up every hill to get to you
I wandered ancient lands to hold just you

"and every single step of the way
I pay
Every single night and day
I searched for you
through sandstorms and hazy dawns
I reached for you

"I'm tired and I'm weak, but I'm strong for you
I wanna go home but my love gets me through"
