The real ones used to be my alarm clocks.

The U2 at 6am in Korea and the SR-71 about the same time while in England.

God, I do miss 'em!

Holy crap! Uncle Rodger! Hire that man for the army, as a UAV researcher or something.

Except for that one 12000 G turn, you coulda fooled me - well, the 100 foot tall giant standing behind it at takeoff kinda had me wondering too

Good job on the landing.

Are you sure that's not a YF-12? I've seen the only surviving YF-12A. It's in Dayton, Ohio. I thought it was an SR71 until I read the plaque.

Now, it he could just build one with retractable landing gear...

If you want to see the best danged airshow ever, in April come over to the Lakeland-Linder airport (just west of Orlando) for TOP GUN where the top scale guys from all over the world compete. You'll see everything from WWI to huge turbine jets like the SR-71 in the video.

More info over on http://franktiano.com/

He also hosts a big jet-only show in March and Monsterplanes (very LARGE r/c planes) in October.
