Gigantic Internet-Small World!
A few months ago I shared this video with our son 'cause it was so great and the music reminded me of a Michael Franks tune. Turns out the film maker (tinyurl) works down the street from him and it is the 9th Street SF Trader Joe's our son and his fiance' shop at.

The music is Tom Jobim's "Waters of March." One of the greatest songs ever written and a Brazilian classic - sounds even better in Portugese than in the English translation.

BlogDog~ Thanks mucho. Stan Getz was my main man since the early 70's where I also became familiar w/Astrud Gilberto and Antonio Jobim. I've heard the Portuguese lyrics, but not from whom you refer. I will now. Love that bossa nova. :]

"Tom" Jobim is Antonio Carlos. He used "Tom" to be a little more familiar to an English-speaking audience.

By the way, if you like that kind of music, check out Polish jazz singer Basia. She even has an English version of "Waters" on her website. Wonderful, wonderful jazz singer and she works with the superb guitarist Peter White.

95% of my shopping takes place at TJ's and the 99 Cent Only Stores, which carries a lot of produce and frozen food now. The food's so damn cheap at Trader Joe's too, especially in California. I live on gluten-free frozen waffle "pizza bagels" and Better N' Peanut Butter.
