Though I love your stick-man drawings, you have the world's greatest cache of images. The possibilities are limitless!

Smug Mac owner? Not me. I have a PC for maintaining Excel templates for a customer. Aside from that I use Mac. I enjoy them, find them relatively trouble-free, non-invasive. Applications I have not used before can be learnt quickly.
But smug? Not at all. However, if I am using my laptop at the airport and someone asks a question or two, i am more than willing to answer. - 10/6/09, 5:54 AM

Ok, On my desktop are two 17" laptops, one mac book pro running Tiger and one dell running windows XP - both of which I use for development and work
I know PC's inside out and backwards. The mac is just a recent addition to my desktop.
I control both machines with the same mouse and keyboard (synergy! it's like magic! and open source)
The difference? Night and day. Mac OS X has gotten a lot better and more usable. Installing and uninstalling applications? a breeze - copy your applications folder to where you want it and you are done.
It. just. works.
My PC? Well, it's been three years since the last win xp install, so it's getting a bit crusty and somewhat senile. There will be a day or three out of my life in the near future to reinstall.
Downsides? Well, the mac keyboard short cuts suck compare to windows. Where's my home key? page up? page down? bah.
Overall though, I'm really, really impressed.
Your mileage may vary.

I make an image of the drive after installing Windows and downloading all the current service packs and patches (I use R-Drive Image, but there are many others). The image is reasonably small because only the operating system was on the drive. Re-installing is a snap - your presence is not required - no typing, no downloading old service packs and patches. I also image several times a year so I can return to a known good state if needed (virus, hard drive crash or other crappy computer performance). Never start from scratch again (until the next new computer).

Yeah, contentment can look like smug sometimes.

My Mac is wonderful. New installations, updates and attachments are a breeze. Macs cost more because they're worth it! Sorry, that's not smugness, that's satisfaction!
