Where was this guy when Fat Teddy was alive, and where's Nancy Pelosi's bishop??
Rickn8or is right. Pinocchio Pelosi should definitely have the same denial of all Roman Catholic sacraments that Patrick Kennedy was given. I am not a Roman Catholic, but merely a failed Lutheran and pretty much an agnostic, but it is obvious to me that Pelosi is every bit as much deserving of this denial as Kenndey is. Perhaps they both should be excommunicated. Maybe then the Church would get their attention.
Or probably not.
At last - a bishop who is truly willing to stand up and proclaim what is right. The Democrats will probably condemn him for "interfering with politics", but so be it.
I firmly agree that Pelosi, Biden, Kerry, and all the other CINOs (Catholic in Name Only) should be excommunicated. Of course, the CINOs would strike back by revoking the Catholic Church's tax exemption, even though it would be a religious statement, not a political one.
It would also be interesting when the case went to Supreme Court. A majority of the justices are Catholic!(Roberts, Alito, Sotomayor, Thomas, Scalia,Kennedy) I wonder if they would recuse themselves?
Amen, Roger.
Love the blog, BTW ...
Yes, CDR J, at last a Bishop. "Fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matt. 10:28

Yes, he needs to be excommunicated. ..............
Yes, he needs to be excommunisticated.
Am I the only one who thinks that Teddy is now hearing the shrieks and cries of the fetuses whose abortions he facilitated?
Don't worry, Teddy - you only have 800 more years of purgatory left.
While this is heartening news (to know that at least one more Bishop behaves like a committed Catholic), I would feel infinitely better if the Conference of American Catholic Bishops would cease and desist from engaging in politics (e.g. supporting socialized medicine).
Sorry, guys, but your track record in politics shows that, except for being the only Christian denomination which has ardently opposed abortion (evangelicals join us on this issue, but they are not a denomination (to my knowledge)), the Catholic Churce is wrong on EVERY political issue in which it takes a political position.
