Maybe things have changed in the Army since I was deployed in 2003, but I don't remember many psychiatrists carrying M-16s on patrol. That is, not much chance he would be sent out to kill fellow Muslims on his deployment.
As for preventing Americans from killing Muslims, looks more like the Americans have been busy keeping Muslims from killing each other.

Isn’t there some government program that can be instituted to help these poor, disgruntled individuals?....They could call it the Obama, Pelosi, Reid bill to assist the disgruntled and include it in the national health plan..... Eisenhower, was a panty waste! He caused the extension of the war to solidify the British coalition, later to pacify the Russians. If he would have let slip the dogs of war, Patton, the war would have ended at least a year earlier.
