If Washington wants to win a game, play the Chiefs. LOL

Why in Hell didn't the Skins just hand the ball to the Cowboys and say "We quit."? I'm embarrassed to be a Redskins fan this year.

Kind of appropriate "arysm"

I feel sorry for Jim Zorn. He was not ready to be a head coach, and I feel as if the team's collapse was not his fault (at least not entirely -- Cerrato's micromanagement and the complete lack of an O-line for a season or more certainly are big parts of it). Yet this experience will probably end any chance of him getting an NFL head coaching job again.

I'm honestly not too thrilled about the Shanahan rumors, either. When we get a new coach, I want it to be someone like Russ Grimm; Shanahan strikes me as a Joe Gibbs Part 2 kind of guy -- decent, but the days of him being a top-flight coach have long since passed him by.

Ah, well. I guess I'm a die hard fan, since I'll keep watching them and hoping for success. Then again, I find my attention drawn more and more to hockey, nowadays, where DC actually has a legitimate contender in the mix, for once. Go Ovechkin!

Well, the Chiefs and Redskins already played this year! One of only three wins the Chiefs have this year. Sorry Skins fans, it's worse than you think!

Thought Bubble, Urban Meyer?/Steve Spurrier? Some guys are born to coach college ball and some guys are born to coach pro ball. It's usually a mess when you mix them up (think Notre Dame, though I kind of enjoyed their mess).

Yeah, when they punted the ball at the end of the game instead of going for it, you knew they gave it. Jim Zorn, as said above, was definitely not ready. They'll only win when Daniel Snyder gives up hiring abilities for the team.

Shanahan's best days may have past him buy, but you'll have some hope, something that locker room doesn't have.

As a Cowboy fan, I hope you don't get Mike.

Well crap, I'm a Seahawks fan. I got nothin'.

Imagine this Chuck. I'm a Cowboy fan living in Seahawk Country, not a fan of them (even though I was raised here earlier in my life). I have to watch their stinkass season instead of, you know, good games.

The last time the Skins hired a great coach, he was a little-known offensive coordinator for the Chargers named Joe Gibbs. He'd never held an NFL head coaching job.

Shanahan's a decent pick, but I'd prefer Bill Cowher.

The problem isn't the coaching staff, it's the OWNER. I'm sure he's a great businessman, but he knows bupkus about football. The treatment of Jim Zorn is shameful! Parading Shanahan around in the halls as though he's rubbing a first wife's face in the trophy wife's - whatever! Very unclassy behavior in a very unclassy city!

If the Skins do take Shanahan, it'll be interesting to see what happens between him and Portis. I always thought that while both teams made out well with that trade, that the Broncos did much better getting Champ.

Man, Bailey had a hell of a game yesterday-he's still amazing

Rome is burning and you all watch a ball game.
Just spoke with a friend that survived an IED ambush in Golanar Afgan. Everyone in his rifle squad severely injured, no deaths. The point stepped on a mine and lost his legs...
You talk about ball games.

You're correct. With all the shit going on, you HAVE to escape sometimes. Or else you would go crazy. And I watched the Jaguars dump Tom Coughlin and he went on to the superbowl.

Get yourself about 6 fingers of Bourbon whiskey Rob. Everyone needs a little R&R.

I would retain Zorn; there's lots of back story to this season. But, if Bill Cowher wants the job, grab him, and then STFU Dan Snyder.

OK, Rodger, Doctor's orders and all that.
