Overheard on FOX News a few minutes ago: "I'm not a member of an organized party. I'm a Republican." Neither the interviewer or the interviewee noticed any humor in that but I about fell out of my chair laughing.

That's an original Will Rogers' line from the '20s (except that he was a Democrat), so the interviewer might not have laughed if he/she had heard it before.

The good old days. I used to cut out the front pocket of my slacks, then put my holster on a cut off garrison belt fastened to my right thigh. By casually putting my hand in my pocket, it was good to go. Took a little practice time to get smooth at it.
Could never get it to work in jeans, plus it showed some. So much for fashion. -
